Recognition & Honours: Elite Project Receives the CUI Brownie Award
Flood Protection Landform, an Infrastructure Ontario project for the revitalization of the West Don Lands in Toronto has received the Canadian Urban Institute’s Brownie Award in October 2012. This award celebrate excellence in brownfield redevelopment by transforming contaminated sites into “great places”.
This project, which started in 2007, is a multi-year plan that is currently under development by Elite Construction is massive landform that will not only protect the West Don Lands, but a 210-hectare area, including Toronto’s financial district, from flooding.
